Mara Allport, owner and lead designer of Sweetleaf Floral, creates arrangements as unique as the couples she serves.

Born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina, Mara draws inspiration from the Lowcountry’s palette of earthy greens, dreamy blues, and sherbet sunsets. A graduate of University of South Carolina, she currently resides in Hollywood, just 30 minutes south of downtown with her husband, Nick, and 3 year old son, Fenton. You can likely find them between the spartina grasses of the Toogoodoo creek with a fishing pole, lots of boat snacks, and some good music on the stereo on weekends off.

She is an avid animal lover and has a sweet, mischievous beagle, Beacon; an energetic, smart labrador, Birdie, and tabby cat who thinks he’s a dog, Butters. In addition to floral design, Mara loves baking, traveling, and thrifting.
